about
"On My Bedroom Floor" has been with me for years; like all the songs on this upcoming record it was written in 2019, at a time when I was doing a lot of dancing with escapism and summerlust. The rest of "Little Tokyo, 2019" swims through heartbreak, but this song is still sitting on the shore, daydreaming and thinking about a different time.
It's also the spiciest song I've ever released, so that's interesting :p I hope you enjoy it, and if you like it the rest of the EP comes out on Friday!
lyrics
Swimming pools, summer’s coming
I guess so are you
Water’s warm, sky is calling
Like it’s almost June
So you ask make a pass
Boy the way you move
Bite my lip, sipping hips
Riding their waves through
I know you want to go and call me your king
Feels like I’m a cathedral when you’re on your knees
Hey I ask you if you’re royalty and you
Say something I cannot repeat
CHORUS
You don’t have to translate j’adore
Je veux te vetements on my bedroom floor
You hum a note and I can hear the whole score
Je veux te vetements on my bedroom floor
Flower petals on the front steps
Carry them inside
You sit down on my bed and you
Make it look divine
Tracing my tattoos
I might have to go ink my thighs
Bite my lip, got your hips
Moving in my mind
So thirsty in the way you kiss
How bad are you willing to get for just a sip
Hey I think that I forget my name
Just before I memorize the way it leaves your lips
CHORUS
taking it as a sign
You put that record on and
Planning to take my time
So you have to stay til dawn
If you’re gonna stay tonight
Just stay all summer long cause
I like your Calvin Klein’s but
We know where they belong
Swimming in your blue vibes
You look like heaven when you sing
I look at the other side
When you eyes take a shot at me
If you’re gonna kiss my thigh
If you’re gonna talk to me like that
I wanna take a ride
To somewhere I cannot come back from
Can’t come back from you
CHORUS x 2
